Mansoor Ghanavati
“With a solid foundation in engineering and physics from San Jose State, the University of Illinois, and the University of Wenona, I began my career in 1982 in the engineering department of Diasonics. My career has since been defined by a pioneering spirit and a focus on innovation in the ultrasound industry. While at Diasonics, I established the ISC division, which specialized in selling legacy products to office markets and emerging countries. This initiative brought in an additional $27 million in revenue and set the stage for my leadership role as President of Ausonics after Diasonics acquired the company in 1992. When GE acquired Diasonics, I managed global sales of refurbished GE Ultrasound systems, bringing cutting-edge technology to broader markets worldwide. In 2000, I founded UMI, where we became the first U.S. distributor of GE’s portable Logiq-Book ultrasound system. My focus on expanding market reach and promoting accessible healthcare technology drove sales to $17 million. Most recently, I led the development of the Neo handheld ultrasound in 2023, a tool designed to revolutionize point-of-care diagnostics. Throughout my journey, my goal has been to bridge technology and healthcare to deliver innovative ultrasound solutions for a variety of applications worldwide.”
